Especially good filled with a hearty soup such as chili, ham & bean, split pea or cheesey broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Fleischmann's® Simply Homemade® No Knead Bread Mix, any flavor

Directions

Prepare dough according to package directions.

Divide dough in half and place on greased baking sheet.  Sprinkle top of dough a teaspoon of flour to reduce stickiness, if needed.  Using your hands, gently form each half into a 4-inch round ball.

Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place for 25 minutes.  (Loaves will rise, but will not double in size).

Place baking sheet in a preheated 400ºF oven and bake for 17 to 22 minutes (Stoneground Wheat and Multi-Grain may take an extra 5 minutes), until golden brown.

Remove and place on wire rack to cool for at least 30 minutes.  Cut off top 3/4-inch of each bowl.  Gently pull out chunks of bread, leaving a 3/4-inch shell. Save extra bread for another use.

Fill with soup and enjoy!  Serve with the top of the bread bowl. 

Note:  each bread bowl holds about 1 cup soup.
